BANQUE ALIMENTAIRE DU RHÔNE (RHONE FOOD BANK)
The Rhone Food Bank collects over 5,200 metric tons of food donations a year from manufacturers, mass retailers, European and French food aid, farmers and private individuals.
It redistributes these products daily to 30,000 people via 124 partner organizations and CCAS community centers for social action, or the equivalent of 11 million meals a year.
Nearly 150 pallets of foodstuffs are collected every week from manufacturers, platforms and producers, but the capacity of the current truck is just 12 pallets.
To meet the needs of the Rhone Food Bank, the Groupe SEB Fund is contributing to the investment in a new 26-tonne truck with a 21-pallet capacity.
