In France, one in six unemployed people is of foreign origin and has twice as much risk of being unemployed than a French national. The Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region is no exception to the rule, with one-third of the active population having emigrated to France in the last five years affected by unemployment. Many of these individuals have professional experience or have completed higher education. Yet they have an extremely difficult time accessing the job market in their occupational sector and most are obliged to accept lower-skilled jobs.
YOON has developed an innovative support method based on coaching, support in French and an immersion period at a company.
Thanks to the financial support of Groupe SEB, the recently created organization YOON will be able to offer this support to 13 foreign individuals in situations of precarity in 2018.
